Initiated in 1997, the Regional Aquatics
Monitoring Program (RAMP) is a joint environmental monitoring program
that assesses the health of rivers and lakes in the Oil Sands Region of northeastern Alberta.
The program is designed to identify and address potential impacts of
oil sands development and is frequently adjusted to reflect monitoring
results, technological advances and community concerns.
We hope that through this website, you will be able to gain a better
understanding of this program, and how we may best be able to assist
each other in preserving our environment and quality of life.
