Biodiversity in the Boreal Forest

Despite the harsh conditions found in the boreal forest—cold temperatures, long winters, and nutrient-poor soils, for example—numerous species of plants and animals have adapted to these conditions. In this section, some of the different types of plants and animals found in the boreal forest are described:
